  Hashenn was raised among an otherworld guild of Assassins and Spies. He keeps his past and his skills a guarded secret, revealing the extent of his abilities and knowledge only during emergencies. He will go to great extent to conceal his skills and talents. Almost everything ties back into stealth; unless a person has a strong reason for detecting him (supernatural means, specific training) not many people will know just what he's capable of.
  
  He also holds a (presently dormant) aura of corrupt necromantic energy. While alive, something dark lurks beneath the surface, waiting for the correct trigger to take hold.
  
  Passive Skills:
  
  Dodge: Frequently anxious and alert of his surroundings, Hashenn is well-trained to anticipate movement, attacks, or fast-moving objects. He's dexterous and agile, moving with grace when he believes it's time to drop the act of an incapable civilian.
  
  Life-Sight: The bat passively sees the glow of life all around him. Immortal or resilient beings shine brighter, while the dying become more faded, as their energy essence dissipates outside of a body. This makes hiding from him somewhat more difficult. He can detect beings more clearly through objects and environments when he is phased. With forced concentration, he can hone in on detecting life-forces through nearby objects or walls.
  
  Ghost-Sight: Sensitive to spirits and souls, he is able to see ghosts and apparitions with more ease than the average being. Hearing or sensing words from spirits, also comes more easily. [Untrained]
  
  Possession-Immunity: Since his revival by Kestrel, his body and mind have been fortified against forced possessions. This extends to attempts at Hypnotism, forced mental-entry, or brainwashing.
  
  Sign Language: Hashenn understands how to use sign-language. He has an altered form that allows mainly the use of one hand. Some of the 'words' are lost or difficult to read, given regional knowledge, but he still retains a functional fluency in the language.
  
  Soul-locked: Another failsafe imposed upon him by Kestrel, after an incident. Hashenn's soul is anchored tightly to his own body, and cannot be forcefully removed or stolen away by supernatural beings.
  
  Active Skills:
  
  Aura of Weakness: Pushed at his limits, the bat can emit an aura of weakness. Life-force becomes drained around him, creatures and plants growing weaker and weaker until they die in his close proximity. The drained energy fuels into Hashenn, and if not stopped, the aura will begin expanding in size and strength, over time. He has no control over what targets get drained. This is triggered when his body is severely physically damaged to the point of losing functionality. [1/1 cast, strengthens over time
  
  Critical Strike: With knowledge passed down to him from a mysterious benefactor, the bat has gained knowledge on specific weak-points on an average being's body. A mix of acupuncture and pressure points, he knows how to quickly cripple the average opponent with efficient effort.
  
  Dark Disguise: Making use of a mix of Ghosting and Shadow-Matter, Hashenn can seemingly take on new physical forms. These are fragile disguises made entirely out of shadow-matter, controlled by Hashennn that remains within the shadows. His scent and visible identity remain obscured. This form has barely any physical strength, and can only be sustained for one or two short hours at most.
  
  Death-Touch: An advanced and more violent form of Life-Steal. With enough force and willpower behind the intent, Hashenn can violently rip the life-energy out of his target. He must place his palm upon his target, and not be interrupted as he concentrates on ripping the energy out. As he 'rips' his hand away, the bonds of a soul to a body are torn asunder, and life-energy rips through organs and flesh to be stolen by the bat. The process tears apart internal organs, skin, and with enough force, might even displace bone. This act has a chance of causing the bat to Frenzy, and become unhinged.
  
  Hyper-Listen: A racial trait mixed with training: he's able to listen to conversations and activities in other nearby rooms or areas of some distance away with concentration. He can hear the fine detail of movement and activity when the target is closes, or overhear conversation that's some distance away. This requires active stillness and concentration.
  
  Energy-Thief: Light, life, or raw magical energy can be absorbed by the bat. Similar to life-steal, he can absorb and store a limited amount of raw energy into his own reserves. He still needs to feed specifically on life-force for his own survival, but he can store a decent amount of magical power as an added benefit to his form.
  
  Ghosting: By tapping into shadows, Hashenn can engulf himself completely in darkness, obscuring his identity, species, silencing his steps and diminishing his scent trail. He becomes nothing but a large, shadowy figure, dispersed by strong light. He can only hold this form for a short period of time. Longer than phasing, but not in-definitively.
  
  Life-steal: The act of ripping a soul from a body. Upon killing, or as an act of killing in itself, the bat feeds on the connection that bonds a soul to a body. He normally does not consume the soul itself, but rather the energy that attaches it to a body. While he mainly uses it on recent kills, if pushed, the bat may be able to use it to drain the life-force of a still-living victim. He must be up close and personal to be able to force-steal the energy. With enough energy taken, the soul is severed from its host. When in a Frenzy, he can begin to consume souls themselves.
  
  Phasing: He has the ability to temporarily phase himself entirely into the shadow plane. The demi-planewalk functions for a few minutes, at most, but he is forced to return to the physical realm once his energy is depleted. This is useful for dodging attacks, travelling through barriers, or for limited stealth movement. He can quickly bring someone or an object to the shadow plane with him, but doing so takes even more effort. Releasing an object or person in the shadow plane causes it to snap back into the physical realm.
  
  Regeneration: Coupled with his ability to life-steal, he can repair himself with freshly consumed kills. Meat and bone is required to replenish physical matter.
  
  Shadow-Control: Hashenn has the ability to alter shadows nearby. He can cause them to move, stretch, and change shapes, akin to illusion use. The surrounding area can be dimmed into darkness. Darkness can be created and manipulated with relative ease. Pooling shadows near himself gives him a boost to his other skills.
  
  Shadow-Matter: He has the budding ability of being able to create physical matter with shadows. This can be used to help act as braces for his wounded limbs, to help carry small objects, or to make distractions among other uses. The shadow-matter is however, brittle, and will disperse after some time.
  
  Shadow-Walk: Hashenn can travel through shadows, swiftly moving from one place to another without a trace.
  
  Shadow's Whispers: From one being of shadows to another, Hashenn can form a connection in which mental projections can be sent. Messages and imagery can be sent through, but only if both participants are beings of the Dark.
  
  Telepathy: With concentration, Hashenn can project his thoughts to another person. It is a clumsy form of beginner's telepathy, and frequently relies either on images, impressions, or memories. He can only receive thoughts if the other person equally knows the same skill; he cannot read minds. This skill is not yet fully practiced.
  
  Venomous Bite: Kept a closely guarded secret; he possesses fangs capable of poison. His species, while closely bat-like, is of a different being more akin to a monster. His fangs can produce a numbing toxin that temporarily paralyses the surrounding area, and fades off to be a painful wound. It is not enough to kill a person, but it would be enough to be a crippling distraction for a day. He can't produce as much poison as he could, as an undead, but he does keep vials in reserve.
  
  Enchanted Tattoos: After much research and experimentation, Hashenn has managed to create temporary tattoos that offer magical effects. Presently, he has two tattoo-runes discovered:
  - Eye Tattoo: Provides sight for the blinded. User must touch the tattoo, and willfully use a spark of magic to activate sight for 24 hours. The effects fade over time. Each use of magic causes the tattoo to wear off, until nothing remains. When properly applied, the rune lasts for roughly a month's worth of uses.
  - Bell Tattoo: The bell rune alerts the owner if they are being scryed upon,, or observed through magical means. A faint bell-chime activates in the person's mind, alerting them. It does not specify who, however.
  
  Poison Knowledge: He's adept at the use, identification, and application of a variety of exotic poisons. He'll take measures to obtain himself small vials of poison and keep them hidden, "Just in case."
